KLU Celebratory Dinner (June Social)

Earlier this evening, we had a celebratory dinner at Namaste Restaurant, Taman Tun. It was to celebrate the achievements of the three Leo Clubs (Leo Club of SMKSAS, Leo Club of Jinjang North, Leo Club of KLU) under the wing of the Lions Club of KL North, who all managed to bag the Top Leo Club Award at the recent Leo Forum.
Among the guests were Lion Gina from Lions CLub of KL South and Leos from Leo Club of SMK Damansara Utama
Lion's Club President Lion Vincent gave a short message...
... while everyone was listening intently ...
... before dinner was served! woohoo!
everyone was busy eating but some took the time to pose for the camera :)
many Lions were there with their families...

and everyone had a good time fellowshipping (if there's such a word) while enjoying dinner Leo Raymin from Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang was there too!
and then there were group photos...
and more group photos...
and Leo Samantha from sister club Leo Club of The Peak, HK was present too!
and then it all ended with a great big photo session.

Visit to St Joseph's Home @ Penang

Some of us stayed back after the Leo Forum for another day and our sister club, Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang graciously invited us along to a project by them and their sister club, Leo Club of Singapore Polytechnic to visit the St. Joseph's Home for Children in Georgetown. Leo Kent from Leo Club of Tanjung Penang is fascinated with the hi-tech toys kids have nowadays :D
The Leos were trying to explain what they were going to do at the Home -give out stuff they collected and brought all the way from Singapore, including soft toys, books and clothes.
The Leos and the kids were kinda shy at first...
... but quickly warmed up to each other!
Group Photo! 2 Leos from KLU, 3 from Tanjung Penang and 7 from Singapore Polytechnic with all the 52 kids.

Then the Leos observed as the kids played carrom -and were very good at it!
and some others were playing "monkey" outside :)
the Leos and kids each got their turns to be "monkeys"
this two hor, damn fail wan lor. when the kid looks at the cam, the Leo doesnt...
when the Leo looks at the cam, the kid doesnt. "kek sei ngo".
(-.-")

Not long after, the exhausted Leos left the Home reluctantly, as the kids had to prepare for Chapel. Everyone surely had good fun!

34th MD Leo Forum -Day 1

So, the boys traveled up to the Pearl of The Orient by the SLK (Small Little Kelisa), leaving KL in the wee hours of the morning.and they took a ferry over from the mainland to the island!
After the registration and all that, there was a talk on the theme "Continuously We Serve" and then a session (much like Leo School).
After which, all the Leos headed outside for the Leo Parade. (Grand affair, that was -police road blocks and all that)
Our beloved boys :)
There was also a dragon dance!
Most of the KL Omega Leo Clubs were there -small in numbers but high in spirit!
Our sister club Leo Club of SMKSAS came in droves
and the Lions got to ride in trishaws while the Leos had to walk!

this guy is SO cool. He's holding this big heavy flag using his mouth.
...and, we were accompanied by a marching band.
Later that evening, the Fellowship Night dinner was held.
there was a dragon dance (again)
and other performances to cap off the night.
After dinner, the Leos had to pick up Leo Kimberly the Princess from the airport due to her fashionably late arrival :D no lar, i was having exams that day ler :) haha
