Leo School - Organized by Leo Club of Perennial


Date: 24th September 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 8.00am – 1.00pm
Venue: SMK Kepong Baru
Members present: Leo Kok Yi , Leo Peir Ee & Leo Jie Lin

Our key officers participated in the Leo School organized by Leo Club of Perennial. 

The school was divided into 2 sessions. First is on the Leo Orientation and then followed by a breakout session where the Presidents and Secretaries in one class, Treasurer in another and the Directors and Members in another class.






After the sessions, lunch was provided and the session end with a group picture.

Peace Poster

Date: 24th September 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 8.30pm – 12.30pm
Venue: Sungai Way Community Center
Members present: Leo Yuki, Leo Peegy, Leo Joshua & Leo Teddy
Guest present: Jeffrey Woo

This event was organized by Lions Clubs of KL North and open to children aged 11 to 13. A total of 61 children took part in the project and 9 of them were under the category of "Fun Group". "Children Know Peace" was the theme for this year. 






Trophy, cash and certificate were awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners and 7 consolation prize winners were awarded a trophy each. Of course, each of the fun group winners was awarded a trophy and certificates. A goody bag was also distributed to all the participants.

Leos were in charge of registration, floor management and others. The project ended on 12.30pm with group picture.

Social dinner with Leo Club of Colombo

Date: 16th September 2011 (Friday)
Time: 8.00pm – 10.00pm
Venue: Sushi King, Times Square
Members present: Leo Kok Yi,  Leo Sheng Wei & Leo Jia Yi                                               
Guest present: Jia Sheng

We met up with Leo PP Nirupa Mohan of Leo Club of Colombo (Host) from District 306 A1 Sri Lanka. She was in KL with her family for visit and contacted Leo Sheng Wei before hand after finding out about our club, Leo Club of Kuala Lumpur Unity from the Internet. Leo Jia Sheng of Leo Club of Sultan Abdul Samad also joined us for dinner. 

Since there were not many local cuisines in Berjaya Times Square, we decided to bring her to Sushi King, a local franchise chain. 

After dinner we gave here our club's badge as a souvenir and Leo Sheng Wei sent her back to her hotel.




Trip Up North to visit Sister Club - Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang.

Date: 09th - 11th September 2011 (Saturday) 2 Days 1 Night.  
Venue: The children protection home, Penang
Members present: Leo Kan Sha

Leo Kan Sha reaches Penang on the 9th of September night and stay with his sister club member, Leo Raymin for the night. Next morning, they headed off to The Children Protection home for a community service activity with their sister club as well from Singapore, Leo Club of Singapore Polytechnic.



 

Cleaning of the Children home was done accordingly and Leo Kan Sha helped up in sweeping the garden leaf with the rest and also communicates with the Children there.
After finish cleaning the area, there is a second home beside it which has not been use due to lack of Fund. So the housekeeper asks to clean the leaf and surrounding area only.

After a tiring afternoon, everyone was happy and group picture was taken together with the kids.

That night, Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang organized a BBQ Party at one of their member’s house at the beach side.
