Twinning Community Service Joint Project at Old Folks home

During our trip to attending our sister Club, Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang Club & Twinning Anniversary dinner. Both clubs agreed to do a joint project community service the next day, 18^th of August 2013 at theLotus Old Folks Home, Penang. 

The project begins with sweeping of the garden area and also wiping the house windows. After finishing with the garden area, it was time to entertain the old folks in their homes. There were two floors of old folks staying in which all of us decided to entertain them with some mandarin songs. 

Food was provided for the old folks and the extra were offer to the Leo’s as well. During the Lunch hour, KL Unity Leo’s were able to spend some chatting moment with the olds folks there. We all notices there were many of the old folk’s children and grandchildren visited their parent/grandparent during Lunch hours too. 

The Project ended at 1pm and KL Unity Members left and travel back to KL with a Happy Feeling of doing community service with Twinning Sister Club, Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang together at the Old Folks Home.

Leo Club of KL Unity attended their twinning sister club Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang 20^th Platinum Anniversary & 21^st Installation Ceremony on the 17^th August 2013 at Flamingo Beach Hotel. Total 4 members presented for this event. It was Leo Club of Tanjung, Penang Anniversary cum KL Unity and Tanjung, Penang 10^th Twinning Anniversary since 1998. KL Unity President, Leo Maggie gave her address speech during the event. 

The event started off with Welcoming address by Organizing Chairperson, Immediate past president, Leo Rainnie Choo and also Incoming Leo President, Leo Saw Jong Shan. 

Initiation & installation Ceremony was conducted to induct new members and install BOD 2013/2014.

Last speech was given by Sponsoring Lion Club President Lion Choo Eng Hin. Cake cutting ceremony and Souvenir Presentation was next. Right after meeting was called to Adjourned, dinner and social started.

District 308 B1 KL Alpha Leo Club recently held their Joint Installation on the 15^th Of August 2013. Total 9 Alpha Leo Club participated in this installation including our sister Club, Leo Club of SMK Jinjang and Leo Club of Sultan Abdul Samad. 

Opening Ceremony

The event started with registration at 8.30am and event started at 9.30am with the arrival of Guest of Honour, District Governor, Lion Lau TengChye, President Officer and others Lions. Meeting call to order with Opening Performance by the Committee follow by speeches from Organizing Chairperson & President Officer Lion Richard.

 Lastly speeches by Guest of Honour, DG Lion Lau TengChye follow by presentation of memento. Right after meeting was adjourned by President Officer, Lion Richard, Performance and refreshment was served and the event ended at 1pm. 

Leo Club of Sultan Abdul Samad Leo Rooms Renovation

Venue: SMK Sultan Abdul Samad

The Leo Club of Sultan Abdul Samad renovated their Leo Room with new coat of paint and some second hand furniture.

 It was the second day of the Leo Room renovation and we were there to help out the Leo’s. 

Social and Lunch together with Lion Tony :D 

Our sponsoring Club Lion Club of KL North, IPP Lion Tony, Lion President Richard, 1st Vice President Lion Helena and Leo Advicer Lion Kit were there to help out with the painting too.
