Donation of Coloring Tools to Orphans

Project Organized by KL Unity Leo's for February 2012.

Earlier February 2012, our club received a parcel from Lions Club of Yamatogawa, Osaka and in it was 5 boxes of coloring pencils, 5 boxes of water color, 5 boxes of crayons and their club’s newsletter.

In the Newsletter, there was a report on a project we worked on together, having kids of  Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home (PECH) to draw encouragement cards for the victims of Sendai.

The cards were being transported through the Lions Club of Yamatogawa. Apparently, this joint project of ours was featured in a local Japanese newspaper as well.

In return to the effort carried out by the kids of  Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home (PECH) , The Lions Club of Yamatogawa bought them those coloring tools.

Immediately, on the 11th of February 2012, we gathered at Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home (PECH) and gave the coloring tools to the kids.

After giving the coloring tools and spending some time with them, we took a group picture.
From the looks of their smile they are happy that their efforts to reach out to the needy were appreciated.

Project like this teaches these kids even though as orphans there are people out there that they too can help.
