Once a year World Leprosy Day was held on the 23rd January 2011, with Lions Club of Taman Tun is the main organizing club. Many other Lions and Leos club attended this event. For KL Unity Leo, Leo Joshua, Leo Kan Sha and Leo Thin Sung were present for this event. We all reach at 9am and had a short briefing by Lion Chu of Lions Club of Taman Tun and Lion Tony of Lions Club of KL North at the main hall.
After the briefing, we were split into few groups and visit each block to give out Ang Pau and goody’s bags to the people staying there. We spend 20 to 30 minutes, talking and entertaining with dancing and singing for the people there.
Then after we finish distributing ang pau and goody’s bags, we gather back at the main hall and the main event started with speeches by OC Lion CHU, Guests of Honors District Governor & Leprosy Centre person in-charge.
There were some performance by some Lions Club members, Leo Club members and Lions Friends. Oranges and ang pau were then distributed out to the people there by District Governor.
Then we had group picture with all the Lions and Leos. The event ended at 1pm and everyone when home.
