7th KL Omega Leo Clubs Joint Installation 2016

On the 21st August 2016, KL Unity together with 9 others Leo Clubs jointly organized the 7th KL Omega Leo Clubs Joint Installation 2016. Guest of Honour of the Day was District Governor 308B1, Lion Sashekala Pathmanathan.

KL Unity New Member, Leo Teck Yuan was inducted and our key Officers installed by Lion Wai Kong and DC Lion Foo respectively.

Let us strive to do our best in the New Fiscal Term 2016/2017 to serve the community and also work closely with our sponsoring Lion Club, Lions Club of KL North. Together We Serve. Roar Roar Roar

16th KL Alpha Leo Clubs Joint Installation 2016

On the 20th of August 2016, Leo Kan Sha attended the 16th KL Alpha Leo Clubs Joint Installation 2016 @ Help Cat Aduitorium.

Guest of Honour of the day was PDG Lions Lillian Fan.

Total 9 Alpha Clubs including our Sister Club, Leo Club of SMK Jinjang has inducted their new members and also install of Key Officer by Lion Wai Kong and DC Lion Foo respectively.

The event ended with performance, Cake Cutting for August Baby Birthday and Evening Tea for all participants.

Lions Leos World Environment Day 2016

On the 7th August, 3 KL Unity Leo together with 5 Lions from Sponsoring Club, Lions Club of KL North participate in the 3rd Lions Leos World Environmental Day 2016 alongside other Lions Clubs and Leos Club, with the theme 'Go Wild For Life'.

Entrance Fee was 5 Smashed soft drink cans or RM5.00 will be collected otherwise, 

The event is officiated by Centenntial DG LionSashekala Pathmanathan and speech by KDU representative, follow by talk from WWF, Mr Greenman, and Malaysian Vegetarian Society. Other activities were model buildings with recyclable materials and photo contest. The event was a successful one.

Feed the Hunger Project by Lions Club of KL North

On the 31st July 2016, Leo Kan Sha joined sponsoring club Lions Club of KL North and 4 others Lions Club from Region 3 - Zone 6 Feed the Hunger Project at Myanmar Education Centre now.

Lead by Zone Chairman Lion Molly and others Lions, managed to donated some Food Item to the Mynamar Education Center and past to the caretaker of the center. Due is Sunday, we unable to see the kids but the Lions will arrange to meet the children on Monday 1/08/16.

Blood Donation Campaign 2016

DATE: 24 JULY 2016

TIME: 10:00AM – 4.00PM

Venue: Nexus Bangsar South, KL 

On the 24 July 2016, Blood Donation Campaign at Nexus Bangsar South was jointly organized by SGM, Lions Club of KL North & Nexus Bangsar South Venue Organizer. 

Leo Kan Sha together with 4 Leos from Leo Club of SMK Jinjang helping up in Organ Pledge and also Blood Donation Booth, there were also Blood Donation, Organ Pledge and Free Health Booth that day.

-The Project started at 10am to 4pm and we managed to collect 130 packs of blood and also 50 Organ Pledge from the public, family and friends.

Leo Club of KL Unity together with Leo Club of SMK Jinjang jointly organizing our once a year Leo Orientation 2016 at THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM MALAYSIA CAMPUS.

The event started at 9.30am which grace by our Guest of Honour, 1st Vice District Governor District 308B1, Lion Richard Ho togther with 7 Lions from our sponsoring Lion Club, Lions Club of KL North. Participants Leo Club are from Leo club of Taman Bukit Maluri, Leo Club of KL City Center and Leo club of KL Central.

We had Leo school for the Newly appointed of Key Officers, Board of Directors as well as for the members on their role and responsibilities and get ready for the New Term 2016/2017 at their respective clubs.

The participants commented that it was very knowledgeable and they were able to understand their respective role in their club and have requested to continue this in the upcoming year as well.

LEO CLUB OF KL CENTRAL 1ST REVIVAL ANNIVERSARY DINNER 2014

Since their revival formation in 2013, Leo Club of KL Central celebrated their 1^st Revival Anniversary Dinner this year on the 26^th July 2014 at the Yama & J Japanese restaurant, PJ. Along with their Sponsoring Club Lions Club and invited Leos and Friends, the event started at 7pm. Dinner and Social with Lions and fellow Leos together, which we all had a great night enjoying the Japanese food being serve and supported people attend their event that night. We all had a Group picture and everyone went back happily.  

ALPHA LEO JOINT INSTALLATION 2014/2015‏

The Alpha Leo Joint Installation for the fiscal year of 2014 - 2015 was held at Auditorium, HELP CAT on the 26th July 2014.The registration for the event started at 9 am. All the Lions, Omega Leos registered themselves and were seated in the auditorium at about 9.30 am. The Guest of Honour and Lion dignitaries arrived at about 10 am and then it was proceeded to opening ceremony by the Guest of Honour and the Lion Dignitaries.

The meeting was called to order by the Presiding Officer Lion Serena Yeo. Then there was banner presentation by all the Alpha Leo Clubs, Leo Club of SMK Damansara Utama which is the club of Organising President for this event, Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru, Leo Club of SMK USJ 13, Leo Club of SMK Jinjang, Leo Club of SMK Cochrane, Leo Club of SMK Bukit Jalil, Leo Club of SMK Datok Lokman and nonetheless Leo Club of SMK Sultan Abdul Samad.

The national anthem was sung by everyone in the auditorium after the banner presentation. It was then the recognition of all the lion dignitaries and roll call of all the clubs were presented on that day for the event. The Organising Chairperson, Leo Ho Su Ling and also addressing by The Presiding Officer, Lion Serena Yeo. It was followed by the multimedia presentation of all the Alpha Leo Clubs. The initiation ceremony was conducted by Lion James Chow, followed by the outgoing president speech from Leo Wilson of SMK Cochrane. The installation ceremony was conducted by The District Chairperson, Lion Foo See Yew, followed by the incoming president speech from the Vise Organising Chairperson from SMK Kepong Baru. Right after that, was the addressing by the Guest of Honour and presentation of mementos.

As soon as the meeting was adjourned, there were performances by the leos from various schools. Even the Organising Committee members performed. There was a group photograhy session and delicious lunch was arranged by the committee.

INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT DIALOGUE & INAUGURATION OF DISTRICT GOVERNOR & INSTALLATION OF CABINET

On the 19^th of July 2014, International President, Lion Joe Preston came to Malaysia for the Inauguration of District Governor & Installation of Cabinet Ceremony. Leo Kan Sha and some of Omega Clubs was call to help up in welcoming the Int. President with the girls in their traditional dress and guys do sergeant and arm that day.

The Int. President arrived at The Royal Chulan Hotel at 1.30pm with a group picture and lunch. At 4pm, the Leo’s together with Lions attended the Int. President Dialogue session where he gave his speeches of his vision and mission on his term as the Lions Club International President.

In the evening at 8.30pm, the Inauguration of District Governor and Installation of District Cabinet Officers 2014-2015 took place at The Royale Chulan Hotel Ballroom, same goes our Leo Omega duties was doing sergeant and arm lead by Lion Benny. Introduction and Inauguration of District Governor, Lion Lim Hoe Guan was witness by Lions Club International President, Lion Joe Preston.

Right after that was Installation of District Cabinet Offices for new term 2014-2015 and lastly address by the Lions Club International President, Lion Joe Preston. The event ended at 11pm with the Lions continues social and picture taken. 

DURIAN MANIA 2.0 2014 FUND RAISING PROJECT

On a nice Thursday afternoon, 17th July 2014, Leo Club of SMK Sultan Abdul Samad organised a fund raising project, 

Durian Mania 2.0. This is the 2nd consecutive year that its being organised to raise fund by selling durians as it was the durian season throughout Malaysia. This project by the alpha leos was a great success as it had full support from their school principal, Mrs. Saras, teacher advisors, members, Lions Club of K.L North, Leo Club of SMK USJ 13, Lions Club of Bukit Kiara, Lions Club of Taman Tun as well as the school's students, teachers and parents. 

They sold durians, mangosteens which came all the way from Raub, Pahang. To add the excitement they sold durian flavoured coffees as well. It was held at the basket ball of their school. Musang King durian was sold at the price of RM 18 per kg whereas D24 durian was sold for RM 6 per kg. Mangosteen was at the price of RM 4 per kg and the durian coffees were sold at RM 22.50 for each box. 

The project started about 2.00 pm and ended about 5.00 pm. At the end of the day, the leos managed to sell 600kg of durians and 34 boxes of durian coffees. Their net profit was about RM 2,000 which is more than they gained the previous year. Hope this project would be organised successfully throughout the coming years.

BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN 2014

On the 6^th of July 2014, our sponsoring club Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur North joining organized with Soka Gakkai Malaysia a Blood Donation Campagin at SS Two Mall, PJ. Together with our Sister Clubs; Leo Club of SMK Jinjang and Leo Club of SMK Jinjang, we volunteer ourselves to help up in registration and taking care of the different booths.

The event started with Opening speech by President Officer, Lion Helena and follow by recognition of sponsorship of health check and speakers. This Free Health Check is mainly for the public which provides services such as Blood Sugar Level, Blood Pressure Check, Body Point Check, Bone Density Check, Eye Check, & Organ Pledge, and not to forget the important part of this event is the Blood Donation Drive.

There was also Health Talk by 3 different Dr. Specialists on topic such as Breast Cancer, Diabetes & Depression at various times. The participation of this project was excellence as we collected 127 Bloods sample & 80 over Organ Pledge which was better than last year. Leo Alvin also volunteer and agreed to donate his blood for this campaign. The project ended at almost to 5pm with group picture All Leo Clubs and also Soka Gakkai Malaysia.
