LEO CLUB OF KL CENTRAL 1ST REVIVAL ANNIVERSARY DINNER 2014

Since their revival formation in 2013, Leo Club of KL Central celebrated their 1^st Revival Anniversary Dinner this year on the 26^th July 2014 at the Yama & J Japanese restaurant, PJ. Along with their Sponsoring Club Lions Club and invited Leos and Friends, the event started at 7pm. Dinner and Social with Lions and fellow Leos together, which we all had a great night enjoying the Japanese food being serve and supported people attend their event that night. We all had a Group picture and everyone went back happily.  

ALPHA LEO JOINT INSTALLATION 2014/2015‏

Date: 26^th July2014

Venue: Auditorium, HELP CAT

Time: 9.00 am – 1.30 pm

Members present: Leo Kan Sha, Leo Suria & Leo Kavenia

The Alpha Leo Joint Installation for the fiscal year of 2014 - 2015 was held at Auditorium, HELP CAT on the 26th July 2014.The registration for the event started at 9 am. All the Lions, Omega Leos registered themselves and were seated in the auditorium at about 9.30 am. The Guest of Honour and Lion dignitaries arrived at about 10 am and then it was proceeded to opening ceremony by the Guest of Honour and the Lion Dignitaries.

The meeting was called to order by the Presiding Officer Lion Serena Yeo. Then there was banner presentation by all the Alpha Leo Clubs, Leo Club of SMK Damansara Utama which is the club of Organising President for this event, Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru, Leo Club of SMK USJ 13, Leo Club of SMK Jinjang, Leo Club of SMK Cochrane, Leo Club of SMK Bukit Jalil, Leo Club of SMK Datok Lokman and nonetheless Leo Club of SMK Sultan Abdul Samad.

The national anthem was sung by everyone in the auditorium after the banner presentation. It was then the recognition of all the lion dignitaries and roll call of all the clubs were presented on that day for the event. The Organising Chairperson, Leo Ho Su Ling and also addressing by The Presiding Officer, Lion Serena Yeo. It was followed by the multimedia presentation of all the Alpha Leo Clubs. The initiation ceremony was conducted by Lion James Chow, followed by the outgoing president speech from Leo Wilson of SMK Cochrane. The installation ceremony was conducted by The District Chairperson, Lion Foo See Yew, followed by the incoming president speech from the Vise Organising Chairperson from SMK Kepong Baru. Right after that, was the addressing by the Guest of Honour and presentation of mementos.

As soon as the meeting was adjourned, there were performances by the leos from various schools. Even the Organising Committee members performed. There was a group photograhy session and delicious lunch was arranged by the committee.

KL LIONS JOINT INSTALLATION 2014-2015

Date: 21^st June 2014

Venue: Sin Choi Wah Restaurant, Kepong

Time: 6.30 pm – 10.30 pm

Members present: Leo Kavenia, Leo Suria and Leo Kan Sha

On June 21st 2014, Saturday, 3 Leo's attended the Lions Club Joint Installation of Presidents & Board of Directors 2014 - 2015 for Region 3 & 4 was held at Sin Choi Wah Restaurant, Kepong. Our Sponsoring Club Lions Club of KL North participated.

International Director Chang Jun Tai and Guest of Honour District Governor 308B1 Lau Teng Chye was the special guest of the day. The event started at 7.30pm. 

After the national anthem was sung, meeting was called to Order by the Presiding Officer and followed by his welcome address. The dinner was commenced right after the welcoming address by the Presiding Officer. 

First vice District Governor Lim Hoe Guan installed all the Board Of Directors of Region 4 clubs followed by the installation of the Club Presidents of Region 4. It was then the installation of all the Board of Directors of Region 3 and followed by the installation of the Club Presidents of Region 3.

The meeting was adjourned roughly about 10.30pm by the Presiding Officer and fellowship continue on till 11pm, 

We wish to congratulated our Newly elected LION President Helena Tan and her Team have a great term ahead and hope to work closely for the New Fiscal year 2014/2015 ahead.

Leo Club of SMK Jinjang 30th Anniversary Dinner

Date: 19^th April 2014

Venue: Crystal Palm Seafood Restaurant

Time: 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm

Leo Club of KL Unity has attended our sister club Leo Club of SMK Jinjang’s 30^th Anniversary Dinner. It was a successful night with attendance of close to 150 pax which include Leos from other clubs, sponsoring Lions Club and also parents of the Jinjang Leo Club members. The guest of honor for the night is none other than the District Governor Lion Lau Teng Chye, where he was accompanied by Lions Club of KL North President Lion Richard Ho, Youth Development Chairman Lion Foo See Yow and also the Leo Advisor Lion Tony.

 There were a series of ceremonies and performance on that day to keep the guests occupied. The guest of honor delivered his speech, followed by the organizing chairperson of the event and also the Leo Advisor took turns to say a few words on that night. It was a really fun-filled night as they have performers such as band singers, hip-hop dancers, beatboxer, k-pop dancers, ballet performance and also b-boy performers! 

The food was amazing as well. There was also a cake cutting ceremony towards the end. After the performances are done, they have a special lucky draw session as well. That segment totally grabbed the attention of all who wished to win!

 It was a really good platform for the Leos to learn in terms of organizing such events as they have definitely learnt a lot in terms of planning. Representatives of our club who attended are Leo Maggie, Leo Sheng Wei, Leo Yuki and Leo Peegy. The night ended around 10pm and everyone went home with a happy heart.

FORMATION NIGHT OF LEO CLUB OF HELP CAT

Date: 23^rd March 2014 

Venue: HELP College of Arts and Technology

Time: 6.00pm

On the 23^rd of March 2014, a new Omega Leo Club from 308B1 was born. Leo Club of KL Unity attended the formation Night of Leo Club of HELP COLLEGE OF ARTS AND TECTNOLOGY (HELP CAT) @ their college. Leo Club of HELP CAT is sponsored by Lions Club of Ampang.

The event registration started at 6pm onward with Light refreshment ready for their VIPs and guests. Meeting called to order by Presiding Officer, President of Lions Club of Ampang, Lion Terence Foo. Follow by Roll Call, Address by Lion Terence Foo.

Initiation of all New Members & Installation of Founding President and Board of Director was done by DC for Leo Lion Foo Sew Yow and 308B1 District Governor, Lion Lau Teng Chye respectively.    

 After that was done, chartered certificate presentation, handing over chain of office & also accepting speech by Founding Leo President, Leo Ho Chih Ming. Last but not least, speech by special guest and also District Governor, Lion Lau Teng Chye. 

Entertainment, Social and Buffet Dinner was next once meeting is adjourned by Presiding Officer, President Terence Foo. The event ended at 9pm. 

Southern Cross 7th Anniversary Dinner

Date: 29^th December 2013

Venue: Tappers Café, Ara Damansara

Time: 7.00 pm

Members present: Leo Peir Ee

Leo Peir Ee attended Leo Club of Southern Cross 7^th Anniversary Dinner. Even though the event was stated to begin at 7pm, the event only officially started at 8.30pm. The dinner started off with an introduction by the emcees, Leo Yee Yin and Leo Jia Lin. 

The theme of the year is 7 Wonders, whereby Leo Nelson explained that the club has acknowledged the effort of 7 outstanding Leo members by throwing the surprise of ‘7 Wonders Award Ceremony’. 

Their contribution is recognised and they are known as the Wonders of the club. Later on there was a short welcome address by the president, Leo Yee Yin and OC Leo Derrick. The president of the Lions Club of KL City, Lion VK was also invited to share her thoughts. After the speeches, the roll call was done, showing strong support from other Leo Clubs, as well as guest from Italy. 

To add more joy to the event, the club also has one of its signature project - The 308-B1 Leo Web Directory launched by DC Lion Foo See Yow & President Lion VK. The night is ended with lucky draw & a round of revelation of resolutions of the year. It was a casual dinner and everyone had fun catching up with each other and mingling around. 

Leo Info Dialogue 2013

Date: 14^th December 2013

Venue: KDU University College, PJ

Time: 9.00 am – 2.00 pm

Members present: Leo Kan Sha

Leo Info Dialogue 2013 was jointly organized by Leo Club of Southern Cross, Leo Club of INTI International University and also KDU University College. The venue was organized in KDU University College. Leo Kan Sha attended together with several Omega and Alpha Leo Clubs.

The speaker of the day was District Chairperson for Leo Development, Lion Foo See Yow. 

Newly installed Key Officers and Board of Directors are encouraged to attend. This event is mainly to update issue regarding Leo’s matter, such as sharing about Leo Program, Submitting monthly report correctly, sharing of different type of projects etc.    

Lunch was provided from 12pm to 1pm and the session continues till 2pm. 

Club picture was taken together with Lion Foo. 

Leo Club of KLCC’s Anniversary Dinner

Date: 28^th September 2013

Venue: La Risata Restaurant

Time: 07.00 pm – 10.30 pm

Leo Maggie and Leo Kok Yi were the representatives from KL Unity to attend this memorable anniversary dinner of the Leo Club of KLCC.

They are celebrating their 16th Anniversary and came out with the theme "the 60's". We were asked to dress up according to the theme as well. The event was held at La Risata, an Italian restaurant.

They called the meeting to order at around 8pm, accompanied by speeches from their Leo Adviser, Organizing Chairperson and also the club president. We were then asked to introduce ourselves after dinner and also played some ice-breaking interactive games. 

Apart from that they also have a catwalk show of all guests at the end of the event that boosted the energy of the crowd. Leo Maggie was part of the winner for the female category. 

 

The event ended at 10.30pm and everyone was with smiles. We truly enjoyed the night and we definitely have made more new friends for the day.

32nd Installation of Leo Club of Kota Bharu Central

Date: 5^th September 2013

Venue: Crown Garden, Kota Bharu, Kelantan

Leo KanSha took a flight to Kota Bharu accompany DC Leo Development Lion Foo See Yow to attend the 32^nd Installation of Leo Club of Kota Bharu Central at Crown Garden, Kota Bharu

The event started at 7.30pm with roll call, singing of national anthem and recite of Flag Salutation and not forgetting Leo Pledge follow by Speeches by OC Leo PhangZiQi & Outgoing President Leo Max. Presentation of Souvenir to Lions and Leo’s was given out by Outgoing President Leo Max and dinner was served.

After the dinner, the event continues with Initiation Ceremony by Lion Indran Rajalingam and Installation of BOD 2013/2014 by Lion Foo See Yow. 

Right after that, the meeting was adjourn by Lion Club of Kota Bharu, Lion Francis Lim. 

Performance and social time for all Lions and Leo once the event ended at 10pm.
