After the registration, we began the event by the Leo Pledge recited by Leo Sue Ann of Leo Club S.MK Kepong, followed by roll call called by Leo Jin Li of Leo Club SMK Sultan Abdul Samad.
Lion Ken Jern to give an opening speech and also to share about the objectives of a Leo Club
Lion Aishah was then invited to say a word or two after Lion Ken’s presentation
Lion Aishah felt that the crowd is falling asleep and she had us do the chicken dance to wake us up.
Next up, we had Lion Tony to present the Overview of the Key Officers’ Roles & Responsibility
After that, there was a 5 minutes break to setup the hall into 4 corners consisting of 4 different workshops (President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director), , each taking one corner to present detailed information on roles and responsibilities of the respective positions.
Before we wrap up the training session, we wanted to make sure the participants were listening to the trainers, so we invited Lion Ben to come up with some quizzes to test the Leos. Prizes were given to those we got it right. In total there were 20 prizes given out to 20 who got them right. Before the meeting was adjourned, Certificates of attendance were given out.
At 1pm the Orientation and training session ended and lunch was prepared by The GoldHill Club.Tiring day for the organizers and trainers, but knowing so many Leos benefited from the program, this is definitely a successful and wonderful project carried out.
