Peace Poster Project

The Lion Club of KL North has organized a Peace Poster drawing competition amongst school children aged 11-13 to express their idea of peace in a creative way.

Leo Joshua and Leo Eong Xien arrived in Sungai Way Community Center at about 8.30am to help set up the registration booth. Students started to pour in the hall at about 9am, so we helped out by ushering them to the registration booth and dealing with the registration of names.

At about 9.30am, the contest officially begins and all the kids started to draw their poster. The contest ended at about 12.30pm, so all the posters were collected and sent to the judges’ room for deliberation. In the meanwhile, complimentary lunch by DeliFrance was served to everyone present. The Jinjang Leos helped packed the sandwiches and passed it to the contestant and their parents.

At about 1pm, the judging was done and an official prize giving ceremony was conducted. After the ceremony, the Leos cleaned up the place and left at about 1.30pm.
