Leo Club of Kuala Lumpur Unity was established in 1995, and is proudly sponsored by the Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur North. Amongst the 15 Omega Leo Clubs in Klang Valley, Kuala Lumpur Unity (KLU) shines as one of the outstanding Leo clubs in the district.
Started of with only 15 members, Leo Club of Kuala Lumpur Unity has grown tremendously to more than 30+ members, ages varying from 17 to 29 years. The club has always and will continue to stand strong in our objective “Serving the Community” We put into action not only the best approach towards achieving our goals but with creativity, enjoyment and learning. Having achieved many awards over the past 10 years, the club still stands strong in practicing what we ultimately believe in:
Leadership Experience Opportunity
As a club, we bring forth strong, creative ideas on how to organize exciting community service, funding and fellowship activities. Some of our projects include visits to the orphanage, old folk’s homes and disabled homes, fundraising and organizing the Leo Forum. Our fellowship activity includes International Understanding with our sister club, Leo Club of Peak Hong Kong, outdoor activities, movie outings and many more.
Above all these successful awards and achievements; friendships were built, ties were strengthen, characters and personalities molded and experience never to be forgotten. Fun, laughter, excitement and at the same time learning to accept guidance and to be the best……… That’s US!
Our Mission
Leo Club of Kuala Lumpur Unity is dedicated to the overall goal of providing service to individuals and society. At the same time, giving opportunities to youth to gain experience as well as to enhance their leadership skills.
United, all members will strive for a strong bond in Leo spirit by promoting personal growth, friendship & human understanding. We shall uphold each other’s loyalty and respect, with pursuit of total commitment in standing up for our beliefs & strive to "make the difference".
We shall always be alert and observant towards the plight of the unfortunate and to serve with diligence without seeking gratification only satisfaction. Therefore we should always maintain the highest ethical and moral standards in eyes of the community.
